Discover Six Fun Adventures While Visiting Madeira Beach
Swimming isn’t the only thing to do when visiting Madeira Beach, whether you need a break from the sand or visiting on a chilly day, there are plenty of activities and places to explore.
Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf
Whether you are three or thirty, you will have a blast putt-putting your way through mysterious caves, rushing waterfalls and mountainous terrain in this adventure golf course. Not only can you enjoy a day of miniature golf, but you can also buy some treats and feed the resident alligators with a pole.
The Alligator Attraction
If you didn’t get enough gator time at Smugglers Cove, you could head on over to The Alligator Attraction, while it is not an overly large place, there are plenty of opportunities for up-close and personal encounters with gators in a fun and safe environment. They also have turtles and fish in this nature park.
Florida Winery
If you would rather spend some time away from gators, and the kids, Florida’s Winery is well worth the time to visit. Located at John’s Pass, it has free samples and world famous frozen wines that are the talk of the town. With award winning wines, house blend cigars, craft beers, hard soda and enough souvenirs to buy for all your friends, Florida Winery is a great experience away from the beach.
The Pirate Ship Royal Conquest
Madeira Beach FL was not only settled by a pirate, or so legend holds, but it is also home to an authentic pirate ship that you can board for a fun, adventuresome cruise with the whole family. The adventure includes a day out on the high sea complete with dolphin watching, face painting, pirate stories, music, dancing, water gun battles and a treasure hunt. There is no better way to spend two hours than swashbuckling and treasure hunting.
John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk
This quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is located on John’s Pass and is Pinellas County’s top tourist attraction. It has shopping, entertainment, fishing, and dining. With over one hundred merchants, including sightseeing tours, parasailing and paragliding rentals, dolphin watching and a variety of restaurants, you/ll find there is something for everyone in John’s Pass Village. And, if you go at the right time of the year, the last weekend of October, you can join in the fun of John’s Pass Seafood Festival.
Weather Eco
If you would rather be out on the water instead of in the water beachside, schedule a boat tour with Weather Eco. You can customize your day with snorkeling, island hopping, checking out Florida’s marine mammals or biology, fishing or just chill out and watch the sunset aboard a 30′ luxury research vessel.
